High Plains Gymnastics offers competitive team opportunities for girls ages 6-18. Competition gymnastics is for gymnasts who have a passion for the sport and are willing to train at an intense level. Gymnasts need to attend classes for 3 or more hours per week and will need to be able to work independently and under strict guidelines of the coaches. HPG competes with the international gymnastics league USAIGC.
Requirements for the competitive levels include passing the competition skills test and receiving an invitation from the head coach.

Competition time has now begun! Gymnasts will focus on routine specific work while still working on functional gymnastics movements and developing strength and flexibility needed for their specific skills. Competitive gymnasts will be required to attend both days during competition season. Competitions will begin sometime in February, with four regular season meets, followed by regionals and state (if qualified), ending in June. More specifics are given to girls who are asked to join the competitive team.
